Doctor, completely and totally.
I prefer doctors… not 'doctors'…
Cretinists are by their very nature LIARS.
Dr. Richard Bliss, Curriculum Mgr. for the Institute for Creation Research, got his "doctorate" from an unaccredited diploma mill operating out of a hotel.
Dr. Kelly Segraves, Co-founder of the Creation Science Research Center, says he got his "doctorate" from "Christian University" which doesn't exist.
Dr. Harold Slusher, Co-founder of the Creation Research Society, got his "doctorate" from an unaccredited diploma mill operating out of a post office box.
Dr. Cliffford Burdick of the Creation Research Society got his "doctorate" from another post office box in Phoenix.
Dr. Carl Baugh of the Creation Evidences Museum got his "doctorate" from an unaccredited bible college on the grounds of a church.
Dr. Kent Hovind (Dr. Dino) of the Creation Science Evangelism Ministry (now in prison) got his "doctorate" from an unaccredited mail order outfit called 'Patriot University'.
Fake scientists, fake science

That shows a complete lack of understanding regarding human anatomy. You don't just cut somebody's appendix out for an unnamed disease, you cut it out for appendicitis. Go back to school, kid.
I have tried acupressure and reiki and both worked for me – when conventional medicine did not.
You seem to have rather an idealised concept of healers, of which there are a great variety. Many of them have great results, many don't. Ditto doctors!
Your question is heavily biased!
I trust Jesus to heal me than give money to some guy who will probably lie to me and steal my money rip me off
In fairness, I have never once heard a doctor say that eating healthy was a bad or useless idea.
As far as your question, that partially depends on what you mean by "healer."Judging by the description you gave, you were not talking about a "faith healer," which even the Bible said would not exist in our time.
1st Corinthians 13:8-10–Love never fails. But whether there are [gifts of] prophesying, they will be done away with; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will be done away with. 9) For we have partial knowledge and we prophesy partially; 10) but when that which is complete arrives, that which is partial will be done away with.
The Bible said specifically that before all the information had been given, things like prophesying and faith healing were given to followers of Christ so that others would know God was with them and they could gain the needed information. Now that the information is all there and no more needs to be added, these things are gone.
So any time you see a faith healer on TV, that guy is full of it.Science says so, the Bible says so.Don't believe in him.

But for your particular situation here, this SPECIFIC situation, this doctor is a quack if he says eating healthy is a useless idea. The healer here has qualifications, though I would probably still want to know which school(s) he got those degrees from…but more than likely, the healer would be my choice for THIS situation.
My cousin is an herbologist, massage therapist, and alternative healer pursuing a Ph.D in classical homeopathy, and while I have immense respect for the field of naturopathic/herbological/alternative medicine and recognize its benefits, I can't stand how they all try to portray the medical field as a bunch of hacks who don't know what they're talking about and just want your money and to keep you sick and dependent on their drugs. Yes, drug and insurance companies are horrible to people, but medical practitioners know what they are talking about and aren't all sitting in big mansions twisting their mustaches and coming up with diabolical plots to enslave the human race. Homeopathy is great for maintaining overall health, preventing a great deal of ailments, and successfully treating some, but I have yet to meet a naturopath who has cured someone's cancer like an Oncologist can with radiation and chemotherapy, and I would much rather pop an Excedrin when I have a migraine than gnaw on willow bark when the Excedrin works faster and doesn't taste disgusting.
